Kenneth Ray Love, age 65, of Sparkman, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at his home. He was born February 10, 1949, in Manning, the son of the late John Melvin and Ruby Gordon Love. Ken was a 1967 graduate of Sparkman High School and attended Henderson State University. He retired from NRG Electric Company as a supervisor. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed traveling. Ken was preceded in death by his son John Jason Love and his sister, Sadie Wallace. Survivors are his wife, Carol Jean Rogers Love, one son, Christian Michael Love of Sparkman, one brother, Charles Love of Sparkman, four sisters, Gwen Diffe of Benton, Sharon Riggle of Arkadelphia, Jackie (Bob) Athea of Hot Springs and Peggy Cummings of Sparkman, three grandchildren, Miranda Love of Connecticut, John Walter Love and Charles Christian Love both of Bearden. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, September 5, 2014 at Rock Springs Cemetery at Sparkman with Rev. Ellis Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Final arrangements are entrusted to The Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
