Julia Bethene "Betty" Morris, age 90, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Wednesday January 1, 2020 at her home. She was born on October 7, 1929 in El Dorado the daughter of the late Thomas Walter and Susie Stroud Mills. Betty was a beloved mother and homemaker. She was a member of Third Street Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed bird watching, reading her bible and most of all spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ted Morris and two sisters, Willow Mae McCullogh and Faye Dell Gary.

Betty is survived by her son, Dennis Morris (Trina), two daughters, Beth Morris and Christy Winston (Danny) all of Arkadelphia, one sister, Muriel Gills of Nashville, Arkansas, six grandchildren, Matthew Winston, Stacy Quinton both of Hot Springs, Jarrod Morris of Nashville TN, Clayton Morris of Little Rock, Blake Morris of Arkadelphia, Allen Howard of Hot Springs,  Nine great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and a special friend, Patsy Cook of Arkadelphia.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday January 6, 2020 at Welch Funeral Home with Bro Greg Lathem officiating.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Mark Batson, Dennis Rowe, Mike Shepherd, Mike Armstrong, Danny Smith and Steve Smith.

Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
