Johnny William Horton, age 71, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Arkansas Hospice at CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs.  He was born on September 11, 1947 in Gurdon, the son of the late Joe P and Mary Ellen King Horton.  Johnny was a graduate of Gurdon High School.  he was a welder by trade.  Johnny enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing in his free time.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Patricia Horton of Arkadelphia, two sons, Forrest Hunter Stroud (Lara) of Gurdon and their daughter, Jayden, and John Jay Horton (Lisa) of Sherwood, and their children, Shelby Horton, Landon Smith and Kaylee Rackley.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 12, 2019 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Abdias Cervantes officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until service time on Friday.
