Johnny Daugherty, age 77, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Monday, September 1, 2008, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. He was born April 26, 1931, in Patmos, the son of the late Amos Paul & Idella Summers Daugherty. Johnny was retired from Pilgrim s Pride in Lewisville, formerly with the Gurdon water dept. & he preached all across Southern Arkansas for over 25 years.

Johnny is survived by his wife Vera Hughes Daugherty, two sons, Tommy Frisby of Gurdon & Steven Daugherty of Searcy. One daughter, Terri Lynn Daugherty of Murfreesboro. One sister Lou Taylor of Pine Bluff. Eight grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2:00 PM Saturday, September 6, 2008, at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Revs. Maurice Dickey & Doug Higginbotham officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Sycamore. Family hours are 12 noon until service time at the church on Saturday.

Pallbearers are Roland Hughes, Jimmy Hughes, Bill Hughes, James Kenneth Hughes, Bill Graves & Perry Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Dwight Malcom & Harvey Taylor.
