John Charles Rairdon, age 61, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. He was born on September 30, 1949 in Cook County, IL, the son of the late Charles Wesley and Pauline Donisage Rairdon. John was a machinist and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. John is survived by his wife, Betty Barnes Rairdon of Gurdon, one daughter, Carla Rairdon of Gurdon, four stepchildren, Linda Cooper of Arkadelphia, Leona Swayzee of Diamondhead, Alan Neil of Houston, TX and Larry Neill of Malvern, one brother, two sisters and three grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Round Hill Cemetery with Dr. Steven Carter officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Pallbearers will be James Vest, Jonathan Vest, Larry Neill, Rick Harper, Damon Vest, Kevin Cooper, Miguel Sanchez and Ray Rhine. Memorials may be made to Round Hill Cemetery Fund, P. O.
