John H. Croy, age 78, of Arkadelphia, died on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at the Veteran s Hospital in Little Rock. He was born on November 22, 1928 in Little Rock, the son of the late Ted T. and Jeanette Lee Croy. John was retired from Southern Cement Company, a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church, and a United States Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by one son, Jeff Croy, four brothers and two sisters. John is survived by his wife Georgia Driskell Croy, one daughter Tammy Arnold of Dierks, two sisters Audrey Smith and her husband, Tom, and Barbara Jackson and her husband, Tom, all of Little Rock and three grandchildren, Cody & Patience Arnold of Dierks and Chris Gilbert of Nashville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, January 29, 2007 at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Hardin officiating. Graveside service & interment with military honors will be at 3:00 PM in Bluff Springs Cemetery in Nashville, AR. Family hours will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Pallbearers will be Clarence Dallas, Joe Dallas, Ralph Stroud, David Wilson, Vernon Hutchins, and Dewayne Stone. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
