Jo Ann Marie Brown Scott, age 73, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Wednesday July 28, 2021. She was born on August 1, 1947 in Bakersfield, CA, the daughter of the late Jessie Lee and Essie Faye Toland Brown. Jo Ann graduated from Henderson State University with a BS in nursing.  She worked as a nurse for many years and had Seams Like Home quilting store in Arkadelphia.  Jo Ann was a faithful member of Mt Zion Baptist Church.  She enjoyed dolls, ceramics and quilting in her free time.  Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, AD "Bud" Scott, Sr., one brother, Bobby Brown, two sisters, Kaye Brown and Peggy Ross, and one son, Jeff Scott.

Survivors are three sons, David Clark (Maelee) of Arkadelphia, Shannon Brown (Kerri) of Hot Springs and Dean Scott, Jr. (Debi) of Arkadelphia, two daughters, Judy Goza (Craig) of Arkadelphia and Marla Looper (Roy) of Bismarck, one daughter in law, Jeanie Scott of Texas, two sisters, Mary Sabine of Hot Springs and Linda Brown of Mansford, LA, seventeen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

The family will host a memorial service at 10:00 AM on Saturday August 7, 2021, at Mt Zion Baptist Church with Bro Charlie Williams and Bro Ray Franklin officiating.
