Jimmy Darrell Rather, age 60, of Murfreesboro, passed from this life on Friday. March 19, 2021, at Arkansas Hospice in Hot Springs.  He was born December 25, 1960, in Hope, the son of the late Joel Darrell and Teresa Lorraine Theis Rather.  Jimmy was a graduate of Delight High School.  He was owner and operator of a wrecker service.  Jimmy was a member of the Church of Christ.  He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, Camping and being with his grandkids in his free time.  Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Vickey Denny Rather of Murfreesboro, one daughter, Kristian Sorensen (Kenny) of Salem, OR, three sons, Joseph Rather, Jonathan Rather and Peter Oakley all of Murfreesboro, two brothers, Lynn Rather (Cathy) and David Rather (Sylvia) both of Delight, seven grandchildren, Brayden and Carson Oakley, Aubrey and Asher Sorensen, Kaydence (KK), Kamry and Emma Rather.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Delight Cemetery with Brent Alexander and Jim Henderson officiating.

Pallbearers are Nicky Denton, Keith Craig, Steve House, Raun Rather, Randy Rather and Ace Eatmon.

Honorary pallbearers are Rodney Stone and Jack Lee.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Research or Delight Cemetery Fund.
