Jimmy Lee Hughes, age 74, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia.  He was born August 2, 1946, in Clark County, the son of the late Willard Commodore and Erma Lee Shaw Hughes.  Jimmy was a retired mechanic at Garner's Tire and Automotive in Arkadelphia.  He attended Third Street Baptist Church.  Jimmy was an avid Nascar fan and rarely ever missed a race.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Wayne Hughes and J.D. Shaw.

Survivors are two daughters, Lisa Massey (Jordan Bell) of Arkadelphia, and Renee Deaton of Jonesboro, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Lathem officiating.

A walk through visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 PM Tuesday with the family receiving friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.

50 people maximum capacity at visitation and services, face mask required by all and social distancing will be required.

Interment will be Private.

Pallbearers are employees of Garner Tire and Automotive.
