Jerry Wayne Otwell, age 68, of Gurdon passed from this life on Tuesday January 28, 2020 at CHI St. Vincent's in Hot Springs. He was born in Prescott on November 16, 1951, the son of the late Dexter and Evelyn Brown Otwell. Jerry was retired from International Paper. He was member of New Caney Missionary Baptist Church in Gurdon. Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time at the river with his grandkids. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, an infant, Claude Wayne Otwell, and Jackie Gerald Otwell.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Brenda Joyce Otwell, two sons, Jack Otwell of Gurdon, Tommy Otwell of Okolona, one sister, Lisa Francis (Keith) of Okolona, four grandchildren, Miles Wilson, Kevin Otwell, Justin Otwell, Ryan Otwell, three nephews, John David Wyndam of Donaldson, Randy Jeff Wyndam of Caddo Valley, David Williams of North Carolina and one niece, Christy Williams of Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 1, 2020, at New Caney Missionary Baptist Church with Bro Aaron Maxwell officiating.
