Billie Jean Merrill-Foster, age 84, of Bismarck, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 12, 2008. She was born on December 15, 1923, the daughter of the late William and Margaret Black of Altus, OK.

Jean will be remembered as the light of Bismarck Community and Social Activities which include Circle of Prayer, Lions Club and Bismarck Business Association. She attended Oak Bower Church of Christ. Jean s wisdom, spirit and class will be missed.

Jean is leaving behind loved ones, Gerald Foster of Bismarck, one daughter, Janis and her husband, Jim of Fresno, CA, four sons, Bill Pevey and his wife, Doris of North Little Rock, Charles Pevey of Sacramento, CA, Don Pevey and his wife, Becky of Seattle, WA and Doyle Tolbert of California, two brothers, Bob Black of Perryville and Jim Black of Arkadelphia, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many cousins, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, October 17, 2008 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Rev. Glen Breshears officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bismarck Lions Club, Bismarck, AR 71929 or the local Humane Society.
