Jason Lee Johns, age 20, of Arkadelphia, died on Friday January 5, 2007 near Hot Springs. He was born in Chula Vista, CA on August 6, 1986, the son of Steele and Cindy Lee Rice Johns. Jason was a 2003 graduate of Julian Charter School in San Diego and an Eagle Scout. He was a supervisor with Group Living and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In addition to his parents, Jason is survived by three brothers, his twin, Jared Johns, of Arkadelphia, Jimmy Johns of Palm Springs, CA and Douglas Johns of Bismarck, AR, two sisters, Cheryl Bazzel and Mary Johns, both of Arkadelphia, his grandmother, Pearl Rice of Cedar City, UT and his great-grandmother, Catherine Rice of Marrero, LA. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at the Garrison Lecture Hall at the Student Center at Henderson State University with Alan Levar officiating. Interment will be in Hart Cemetery. The wake / viewing will be from 6 to 8 PM Monday at Welch Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jimmy, Douglas & Jared Johns, Mike Bazzel, Thomas Sepe, Alberto Lopez, Tyler Scanlan and J. R. Queddeng.
