Janet Ruth Diaz, age 74, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at her home. She was born on February 17, 1942 in Los Angeles , CA , the daughter of the late Rufus and Julia Otis Kirkendoll. Janet worked as a cook and was a member of Ouachita Missionary Baptist Church in Donaldson. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Janet was preceded in death by her brothers, Rudy and Sherman Kirkendoll and her sister, Dora Lee Kirkendoll.

Survivors are her daughter, Rhonda Ivy of Donaldson, two sons, William Henry Ivy of Friendship and Ralph Lee Ivy of Donaldson, four sisters, Bertha Lopez of Springfield, MO, Diana Lynn Pickins of Sandspring, OK, Sue Bottenberg of Forest Falls, CA and Liz Hatfield of Bend, OR, one brother, Carl Kirkendoll of Redlands, CA, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Rev. Ronnie Hardin officiating. Interment will be in Ouachita Cemetery .

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation or Paralyzed Veterans.
