James David "Jimmy" Harrington, age 75, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at his home.  He was born August 31, 1945, in Arkadelphia, the son of the late John Richard and Dicie Mae Spradlin Harrington.  Jimmy was a graduate of Okolona High School. He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  Jimmy retired from ALCOA as a hazardous waste operator.  He was of the Methodist faith.  Jimmy enjoyed cattle farming and spending time with his grandchildren in his free time.  He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Margie Johnson, Mary Harris and Helen Adcock, three brothers, Johnny Harrington, Jackie Harrington and Richard Harrington and two grandsons, Wyatt and Isaac Johnson.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Linda Tye Harrington of Arkadelphia, one son, Jacob Lee Harrington (Jennifer) of Ada, OK, one daughter, Holly Michelle Johnson of Bee Branch, one step daughter, Michelle Flores (Rene) of Keller, TX, two grandchildren, Emma Christine and Carlee Renae Harrington both of Ada, OK, three sisters, Linda Spradlin of Arkadelphia, Sherrell Senn (John) of Ridgeley, WV, and Wilma Harris of Venice, FL.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 12, 2020, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Bro. Charlie Williams officiating.

Jimmy will lie in state from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Paul McMillan, Ben Harrington, Tommy Cook, Roy Freeman, Jeff Spradlin, and Brian Harrington.
