James Franklin Hill Jr. age 77, of Gurdon, passed from this life on March 24, 2020 at his home. He was born on March 18, 1943 in Graysonia to the late James Hill and Connie Wrinkle Hill, Sr. James was a graduate of Amity High School and was employed as a log cutter in the logging industry for over 40 years. He was a member of Chalybeate Valley Church in Amity. James enjoyed gardening, fishing, making handmade projects, cooking, dancing and loved to spend time with wife, son and grandchildren and laughing and playing with his great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Curtis Hill and Johnny Mack Hill, one sister, Lou Smith, his father in law, William Campbell and his mother in law, Laurine Campbell.

James is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Kathy Hill, one son, Tracy Hill Sr. (Kaye), four grandchildren, Cody Gosvenor of Traskwood, Lacy Keeling (KB) of Gurdon, Stacy Lee (Collan) of Gurdon and Tracy Hill Jr. of Gurdon, five great grandchildren, Blaklee and Madison Keeling of Gurdon, Brylee and Cohen Smillie and Titus Lee of Gurdon, two brothers, Raymond Hill (Rose) of Alpine, Paul Hill (Sue) of Amity and one sister, Joann Wade (Doyle) of Bismarck.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tracy Hill Sr., Tracy Hill Jr., Cody Gosvenor, and Michael Lane.
