James LeRoy Gaines, age 79, of Beirne, passed from this life on Monday, March 23, 2020, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.  He was born February 4, 1941, in Commerce, MO, the son of the late James Lester and Lola Mae Taft Gaines.  LeRoy was a retired sheet metal installer and a Baptist.  He was a United States Army veteran.  LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Nell Kathryn Gaines.

Survivors are one daughter, Tammy Gail Gaines of Delight, four step sons, Kerry Bailey of Delight, Gary Gober (Melody) and Hoye Gober (Angela) both of Beirne, and James Gober (Roynelle) of Prescott, one brother, Robert Leon Gaines of Blevins, one sister, Emma Mae Gaines Hudson of Coldwater, MS, one step sister, Virginia Lee (Harlis) of Delight, two grandchildren, Keasha Gaines and Brittany Gray, and three great grandchildren.
