James Edward DeVault, age 79, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia.  He was born December 19, 1939 in Prescott, the son of the late Otis Edward and Florine Crayne DeVault.  James was a member of Center Point Baptist Church.  He enjoyed gardening and sewing in his free time.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Regina Fay Bell, and one brother, Bobby Wylie.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Wells DeVault of Gurdon, one son, Douglas Edward DeVault (Debra) of  Blue Ridge, TX, one son in law, David Bell of Gurdon, AR, one brother, Mike DeVault of El Dorado, two sisters, Pat DeRoche of North Little Rock, and Ida Mapes of Silver Springs, MD, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Center Point Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Harmon and Bro. Ollie Trout officiating.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Welch Funeral Home.

Interment will be in South Fork Cemetery at Gurdon.

Memorials may be made to Center Point Baptist Church.
