Idora C. Elliott, age 79, of Caddo Valley, passed from this life on Friday, December 25, 2009, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. She was born June 26, 1930, in Denton, Tx the daughter of the late George & Leona Sykes Sloan. Idora was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband Buck Elliott and one granddaughter Rita Coffey. Survivors are two sons; Tommy Jackson of Odessa, Tx & Joe Jackson of Okolona. Three daughters; Linda Coffey & Brenda Jackson both of Crowell, TX, & Cathy Smith of Vernon, TX. Two brothers; Kenneth Sloan of Gainsville, Tx & Granville Sloan of Gillette, WY. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren & two great great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at Caddo Valley Cemetery with Rev. Phillip Runyan officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Welch Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Dakota Crews, T.C. Carter, John Paul Smith, James Coffey, Paul Carter & Travis Smith. Honorary Pallbearers are Jeremy & Jim Chambers.
