Homer Pifer, age 66, a resident of Village Manor Care Center in Bismarck, passed from this life on Monday, August 27, 2007, at St. Joseph s Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs. He was born October 1, 1940, in Little Rock, the son of the late Ed & Isabella Pinkerton Pifer. Homer was a retired overland truck driver, and a United States Army veteran. He was preceded in death by one son, Mark Edward Pifer. Survivors are two daughters, Vickie Pifer of Washington & Vickie Pifer of Rison. One brother, Russell Pifer of Little Rock. A memorial service to celebrate Homer s life will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 30, 2007, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Leland Womack officiating.
