Henry Charlie Borden, age 74, of Midway, AR, formerly of Gurdon, passed from this life on Saturday, January 24, 2021, at his home.  He was born December 21, 1946, in Bowling Green, KY, the son of the late William Paul and Jannie Bell Womack Borden.  Charlie was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam war.  He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God and was a retired Pastor of this church.  Charlie's passion in life was preaching the Gospel.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, singing, woodworking, fishing, camping and taking care of animals.  Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Alvin Ross Borden.

Survivors are his wife, Doris Gennell Borden of Midway, AR, one daughter, Melinda Fox (Nathan) of Cedarcreek, MO, two brothers, William Borden (Jane) of El Dorado and David Borden (Mace) of Hobbs, NM, two grandchildren, Matthew (Magen) and Jonathan Fox both of Midway, AR.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 28, 2021, at New Life Church in Arkadelphia with Bro. Martin Jones and Bro. John Graham officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday at the church.

Interment will be in Rose Hedge Cemetery in Gurdon.
