Harroll Jerry Land, age 73, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. He was born December 25, 1939, in Malvern, the son of the late Julius Harroll and Ezmer Velora Voss Land. Jerry was a graduate of Malvern High School and went on to attend the Arkansas Banker's College. After graduation he began his banking career with Malvern National Bank in Malvern, Arkansas. Jerry went on to become a bank auditor with the Arkansas State Banking Commission and then on to hold the office of President of First State Bank of Gurdon. Upon his retirement from banking he owned Jerry's Landscaping and later Jerry's Pools, Spas, Billiards and Landscaping. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, crafting and most of all spoiling his grandchildren. He was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church in Gurdon. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty four years, Thelma Sue "Susie" Land and his son, Randy Land. Jerry is survived by one son, Ronnie Land of Arkadelphia, a daughter in law, Belinda Land of Maumelle, four grandchildren Justin (Nicole) Land of Okolona, Jessica Land (Jeremy Luker) of Hot Springs, Kristin (Aaron) Cupp and Kenzi Land all of Arkadelphia, two great grandchildren, Mason and Dixon Land of Okolona.
