Harrell Lynn Cox, age 78, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the John L. McClellan Memorial Veteran's Hospital in Little Rock .  He was born May 10, 1938 in the DeGray community, the son of the late William T. and Dorothy McCallum Cox. Lynn was a retired Inspecting Supervisor for Affiliated Engineering Inc. and a United States Air Force veteran.  He enjoyed reading and researching the bible and history in his free time. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Gwen Roberson.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothy Ipock Cox of the home, three daughters, Lynnette Cox of North Little Rock, Jenna Gilmartin of Delaware and Laurie Leavell of Russellville, two sisters, Kay McDaniel of Rockwall, TX and Delores Baker of Bentonville, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Welch Funeral Home with Hal Dixon officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday.

Interment with military honors will be in DeGray Cemetery c/o Jr Bledsoe, 150 Bledsoe Rd, Arkadelphia, AR 71923 .

Memorials may be made to the DeGray Cemetery Fund.
