Glenda Fay Watts Harris of Arkadelphia, formerly of Delight, age 59, died Sunday, January 28, 2007, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after a courageous fight with Mesothelioma cancer. She was born December 25, 1947, to Coy and Tot Watts. She was a member of the Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Delight. Glenda was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, MeMe, aunt, cousin and friend to many. She leaves her memories with her children, Kelly Harris and wife Misty, and Ashley (Harris) White and husband Paul, three grandchildren, Allie and Hayden Harris, and Kyle White all of Arkadelphia; her parents, Coy and Tot Watts, two brothers Mark Watts and wife Margaret and Steve Watts and wife Vickey all of Delight; her twin sister, Linda Smith and husband Jerry of Nashville; two nieces and three nephews; one great niece and four great nephews and a host of cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Vick Watts. Someone once said that the greatest thing you will ever learn is just to love and be loved in return. Glenda must have known this as she demonstrated it her entire life. Our family has lost its brightest light, and we will never be the same without her generous, kind and loving soul. We are thankful that she shared with us her love, her talents and many gifts. Visitation will be held at Welch Funeral Home, Wednesday, January 31 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral will be Thursday, February 1, 2007, at 2 p.m. in Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Delight with Bro. Wayne Sewell, Bro. Jerry Smith and Bro. Randy Hughes officiating. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Genesis Cancer Center and St. Joseph Mercy Hospital for their care and kindness during Glenda s illness.
