Glenda Faye Currey, age 69, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Monday, March 19, 2018 at her home. She was born July 11, 1948 in Whelen Springs the daughter of the late Floyd and Virgie (Crain) Sparks . Glenda enjoyed cooking, painting, sewing and listening to Waylon Jennings. She was a member of Boughton Baptist Church . Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Jessie Paul Sparks, Charles Sparks, Bob Sparks, Tommie Hays and William Sparks, four sisters, Gloria Jean Sparks, Mattie Potts, Veda Dickson and Verna Purifoy, a special aunt Dealta Whitehead and her son in law Wayne Warren.

She is survived by her husband Jimmy Currey, two sons, Brandon Malcom (Becky) of Beirne and Jimmy Don Currey (Kelley) of Arkadelphia, three daughters Tammy Myers (Jamie), Tracey Warren (James) and Kim Conant (Greg) all of Gurdon, two brothers Vendon Hays (Joyce) of La Vergne, TN and James Sparks (Linda) of Whelen Springs, fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Decipher Cemetery in Gurdon with Bro. Billy Joe Christopher officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Michael Benson Jr,  Max Currey, Justin Myers, Derek Prince, Trevor Warren, John Paul Sparks.
