Glen Franklin Hughes Jr., age 46 of Whelen Springs, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 . He was born on July 15, 1970 in Arkadelphia the son of Glen Franklin and Rose Marie Garrett Hughes Sr. Glen was a cabinet builder and a member of South Fork Baptist Church . He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time. Glen was preceded in death by his grandmothers Mary Lou King and Callie Elizabeth Hughes and his grandfather Oscar Hughes.

Glen is survived by his parents Glen and Rose Marie Garrett Hughes Sr, one son, Chris (Jessica) Cain, two daughters, Allison and Taylor Hughes all of Arkadelphia, one sister, Tracy (Randy) Hooks of Whelen Springs, and 6 grandchildren, Joslyn, Julian, Jensen, Jaxun, Joshua and Gabrial of Arkadelphia.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 10th, 2017 at Bethlehem Cemetery at Gurdon with Bro. James McCain officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at Welch Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Butch Gray, Roger Hammonds, Jason Hammonds, Billy Joe Hughes, Tommy Ray Hughes and Dan Hughes.
