Gary Lamar Hornaday, age 70, of Fordyce, passed from this life on August 11, 2021 at his home.  He was born November 25, 1950, in Malvern, the son of the late Floyd and Betty Bullock Hornaday.  Gary was a 1968 graduate of Fordyce High School.  He was in the logging and timber industry most of his career.  Gary surrendered to the ministry in 1980 and Pastored churches in Arkansas and Louisiana.  He was a United States Army veteran of Vietnam.  Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball and watching movies in his free time.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Karen Johnston and one niece, Kristy Johnson.

Gary is survived by his wife of forty eight years, Elizabeth Jones Hornaday of Fordyce, two sons, Phil Hornaday (Leslie) of McGehee and Brian Hornaday (Kelley) of Chapman, KS, six grandchildren, Sierra, Trent, Lonni, Blake, Tyler and Brent, two brothers, Louis Hornaday of Warren and Floyd Ronald Hornaday (Linda) of Fayetteville, several nieces and nephews and a beloved friend and caregiver, Marsha Shaver.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Bro. Rick Bolin officiating.
