Florence Wade (Turner) Boatman, age 87, of Arkadelphia passed from this life on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at Twin Rivers Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on December 20, 1921 in Fulton, the daughter of the late Robert and Florence Oliver Turner. Florence was a homemaker, a day care worker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walker Boatman.

Florence is survived by two daughters, Judy May and husband Jack of Arkadelphia and Karen Prothro and husband Walter of Round Rock, TX, two sons, Randy Boatman and wife Jenny of Pflugerville, TX and Sam Boatman and wife Cecelia of Norphlet, AR, three grandsons, Brian Boatman, Richard May and David Prothro, five granddaughters, Kimberly Boatman, Kelly Dickey, Amber Evins, Whitney Boatman and Debra Johnson, two great granddaughters, Channah Johnson and Spencer Evins and six great grandsons, Brandon and Garrett Dickey, Noah, Jacob and Jonah Prothro and Walker Evins.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Minister Dan Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 AM on Tuesday at Welch Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be David Prothro, Brian Boatman, Richard May, Tony Dickey, Jason Evins and Eddie Dickerson.
