Evelyn Plum, age 88, of Arkadelphia, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 28, 2013. She was born on January 14, 1925 to Clarence and Maudie Fagan Bagwell, the first of eight children. Evelyn was certain of Heaven as her eternal destination because she placed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age. She was a longtime member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church and Hollywood Baptist Church. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, James, son, Jamie, great grandson, Josh, three brothers, Bennie, Billy and Junior Bagwell, and two sisters, Pauline Turner and Louise Humphries Keith. Evelyn is survived by her sister, Christine (Carroll) Belin of Farmerville, LA, brother, Willie (Janette) Bagwell of Arkadelphia, granddaughter, Vicki (Chris) Clark of Little Rock, two great grandsons, James Clark of Little Rock and Brandon Trujillo of Texas. She is also survived by sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews who loved her very much. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 1, 2013 at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Fagan and Brett Bagwell officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Pallbearers will be Danny and Kenny Humphries, David Turner, Colby and Brian Bagwell and Eddie Burks. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International, P. O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Turner, 3 Edgewood Drive, Arkadelphia, AR.
