Evednia Marie (Hughes) Freeman, age 46, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born January 13, 1964 in Arkadelphia the daughter of the late Wayne & Sarah Stepp Hughes. Evednia was employed for many years at Head Start in Arkadelphia. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia. Evednia is survived by her husband James Freeman; one son Joshua Freeman & his fianc Melanee Fegel of Lom Poc, CA; one daughter Courtney Freeman of Arkadelphia; one brother Wayne Hughes of Sheridan; one sister Deana May of Leola and one half sister Lisa Hughes of Arkadelphia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia with Rev. Greg Lathem officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kendall Freeman, Paul McCollett, Doug Maxwell, Bob White, Jordon Henry and Brian Matney. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Johnson and Jimmy Brown.
