Ethel Young Duncan, age 86, of Jonesboro, formerly of Arkadelphia, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Craighead County Nursing Center in Jonesboro. She was born April 4, 1927, in Clark County, the daughter of the late Andrew Lee and Farrie Ham Currin. Ethel was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and has spent the last few years at Craighead County Nursing Center where she made many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roe E (Eddie) Young, one sister, Nelda Wade, one brother, Roy Currin, one grandson, Russell Gaither and one great granddaughter, Megan McJunkins. Ethel is survived by one son, Ron (Judy) Young of Arkadelphia, two daughters, Betty (Chuck) Hanson of Hope and Diane (Ricky) Kizer of Weiner, one sister, Sue LaRue of Ft. Worth, TX, one brother, Andrew Currin Jr. of Ft. Worth, TX, 13 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 18, 2014 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Interment will be in Richland Cemetery.
