Elsie Annette Wells, age 92, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at her home.  She was born September 12, 1927, in Freedom, OH, the daughter of the late Arthur and Maude McDaniel Schwenk.  Elsie was a retired LPN, having worked for Clark County Memorial Hospital, Baptist Medical Center, Arkadelphia Human Developement Center and Courtyard Gardens just to name a few.  She was a member of South Fork Baptist Church.  Elsie greatest joy was raising her family.  She enjoyed reading and cooking in her free time.  Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl "Buddy" Wells, and two sisters, Hazel Wellman and Mary Russell.

Survivors are her three sons, Tommy Wells (Cassie) of Little Rock, Jeff Wells (Velinda) of Arkadelphia, and Keith Wells of Arkadelphia, three daughters, Ellen Tyler (Don) of Chapin, SC, Sandy Wells (Randy) of Vero Beach, FL and Tonya Jarrett (Jeff) of Arkadelphia, two sisters, Janet Meyers of Brownsburg, IN and Helen Nething of Ravenna, OH, eleven grandchildren and ten great grand.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Welch Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions only 50 people in the facility at one time and masks are required.  (Not provided by funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to South Fork Cemetery Fund.
