Douglas "Doug" Skaggs, age 83, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Arkansas Hospice in Hot Springs.  He was born May 9, 1939, in Pampa, TX, the son of the late Wallace William and Rosetta Wilson Skaggs.  Doug was retired having worked at his father's service station for many years, Pirelli Cable, the boat plant and a Clark County Deputy Sherriff.  He served for eight years in the Army National Guard.  Doug was a Christian.  Doug was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Ricky Skaggs.

Survivors are his wife, Judy Calley Skaggs of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Lisa McNeese of Arkadelphia and one granddaughter, Alannah McNeese of Arkadelphia.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 10, 2022, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Lathem officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Southfork Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Troy Tucker, Raymond Funderburk, Bill Ratliff, Jason Jackson, Rick Loy and Tony Bell.
