Douglas R. Rucker, Sr., age 78, of Arkadelphia died July 16, 2019.  Doug was born June 23, 1941 in Dallas, TX.  He was the son of Dr. T.K. and Wilibel Rucker.  He was a 1959 graduate of Forrest City High School and a 1965 graduate of Baylor University.

He is survived by his wife Nancy, of 55 years, two sons Rob(Gari) Rucker of Arkadelphia, Greg(Jamie) Rucker of Maumelle, one daughter, Elizabeth(Clay) Almond of Arkadelphia, and six grandchildren, Garrett Rucker of Jonesboro, Griffin Rucker of Little Rock, Reagan(Benson)Jordan of Hot Springs, Riley Rucker of Fayetteville, Bailey Almond of Arkadelphia, Carson Almond of Arkadelphia, and a sister, Rebecca Rucker Moore of El Paso, TX.

His family was his pride and joy and he looked forward to every family occasion.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Arkadelphia, where a celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 10:30 am with Pastors Jimmy Darby and Lynn Worthen officiating.

There will be a time of visitation with family preceding the service from 9-10 am in Fellowship Hall.
