Doris Jane Sullivan, age 72, of New DeRoche died Monday, May 30, 2005 at St. Joseph s Hospital in Hot Springs. She was born November 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Ira and Vonza Dyess Thornton. She was a seamstress for Levi Strauss and Hollywood Vassarette. She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one daughter, one sister and three brothers. She is survived by her husband, William Sullivan, two sons, Kevin Sullivan and his wife, Becky of New DeRoche, Mark Sullivan and his wife, Susie of New DeRoche, one sister, Lorine Parrish of Little Rock and one grandson, Kolton Sullivan. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Friday at Hickory Grove Cemetery near Bismarck with Bro. Chris Morrison officiating. Family hours are 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Welch Funeral Home, 202 South Fourth Street in Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church or American Cancer Society.
