Doris Viola Kolb Koosmann, age 84, of Bismarck, passed from this life on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Arkansas Hospice at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Hot Springs. She was born on March 18, 1925 in Willmar, MN, the daughter of the late John and Henrietta Deurloo Kolb. Doris was a retired school teacher, a Hospice volunteer and a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Holloway, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Koosmann, and her brother, Charles Kolb. Doris is survived by her daughter, Sheila Foley (James) of Bismarck, AR her sister, Virginia Stetson (Lee) of Vaughn, MT, one granddaughter, Jill Lemley (Patrick) of Jonesboro, AR two step grandchildren, Tammy Hawley of North Little Rock, AR and Leigh Carson (Randy) of Jacksonville, AR, two great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 16, 2010, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Holloway, MN with Pastor Dave Wall officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery under the direction of Zniewski Funeral Home, 50 South Miles Street, Appleton, MN 56208(www.zniewskifuneralhome.com).
