Doris Kay Burns, age 72, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at the Springs of Pinnacle Mountain in Little Rock. She was born November 17, 1950, in Wingdale, NY, the daughter of the late Walter John and Mary Brigham Burns, Sr.  Doris was a 1969 graduate of Bartow Senior High School, she worked as a shop laborer at Valmont New Mark of Bartow, FL.  Doris was a member of Trinity Methodist Church.  She enjoyed fishing, camping and sight-seeing in her free time.  Doris was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Walter J. Burns, Jr., and one sister, Connie L. Willis.

Survivors are two daughters, Sonya Cadwalader (Richard) of Arkadelphia and Brandy Booth of Winter Haven, FL, two brothers, Gus Burns (Kathy) of Austin, TX and Ronald Burns of Sarasota, FL, two grandchildren, Derrick Lawson of Frostproof, FL and Desean Gordon of Winter Haven, FL and four great-grandchildren, Tabitha Lawson, Axel Lawson, Bentley Lawson and Cade Lawson all of Frostproof, FL.
