Diane Carol McNamara, 61 of Arkadelphia passed away March 16, 2011, as result of an automobile accident. She was born July 7, 1949, in Palestine, Il and was adopted at a young age by Charles and Leah McNamara of Chicago, along with her brother, David, all of whom preceded her in death. The family moved to Arkadelphia in the 1960's, where she graduated from high school and Henderson State University. Diane then moved to Houston, TX, working for 30 years in medical transcription and screening, before returning to Arkadelphia and continuing her career with Texas Mobile Health. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church and an active volunteer for many charitable events. Diane was an avid reader who loved travel, camping, dining out, old movies and experimenting with new recipes. She was a devoted friend who never made a visit empty-handed. Her laughter was infectious and her generous spirit unparalleled. Diane is survived by a niece, Lynn McNamara Ford, a host of cousins, her beloved cat Jellybean, and special friends too numerous to list. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Diane will be held at 11:00 AM Sunday, April 10, 2011 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Sanders officiating.
