Dennis Orlin McClure, age 59 of Gurdon, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born in Gurdon on October 8, 1953, the son of Thurman and Lois Marguerite Webb McClure. Dennis was a truck driver for Jester Logging. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and the National Guard. Dennis was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Garrett McClure of Gurdon, three daughters, Christy Becker of Okolona, Scarlett McClure of Arkadelphia, and Candice Hudson (Michael) of Camden, one son, Cody McClure (Daniele) of Chidester, two step daughters, Tonya Magby (George) of Arkadelphia and Lynn Stephenson (Donnie) of Friendship, one step son, Butch Gray of Gurdon, his father, Thurman McClure of Gurdon, one sister Brenda McCain (Mark) of Prescott, three sisters in law, Rose Marie Hughes, Geraldine Sweatman of Enola and Treva Gibson of Joan, seventeen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one niece and one nephew. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia, with Nathan Rogers officiating. Interment will be in Easley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Cody, Paul and Scarlett McClure, Ronnie Deaton, Robert and Christy Becker, Butch Gray and Kevin Jester.
