Daniel Dewayne Witherspoon age 58 of Little Rock passed from this life on Monday, November 14, 2011 in Friendship. He was born June 17, 1953 in Arkadelphia the son of Peter and Milrene Karr Witherspoon. Dan was a retired overland truck driver and a United States Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his father. Dan is survived by his companion Sharon Walburger of Little Rock, one son Damon (Dawn) Witherspoon of Nashville, TN, two grandchildren, Madeleine and Ian Witherspoon both of Nashville, TN, his mother and step father Milrene (Billy) Copeland of Okolona, two brothers, Larry (Joann) Copeland of Murfreesboro, and Victor (Sheila) Witherspoon of Friendship. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Welch Funeral Home with Mary Lee Arnold officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society 901 N University Little Rock, AR 72207.
