Dan Alan Northen, age 48, of Arkadelphia, died Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at Twin Rivers Health & Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. Dan was born August 20, 1957, in Little Rock, the son of Leslie Phillip & Ruth Mawbry Northen. Dan grew up in North Little Rock, and attended North Hills Exceptional School in Sherwood, AR. Dan was a retired employee of The Honeycomb Restaurant in Arkadelphia, but continued to work after his retirement at Group Living until his health declined in 2005. Dan was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Marie Mowbray, two beloved aunts, Elora Risher & Jenny Tribble. He is survived by his father, Leslie of North Little Rock; One aunt, Louise Hunter of Bryant; three cousins; William (Bill) Tribble, Little Rock, Phillip Risher, Maumelle, & John Northen, Fort Pierce, FL.; his legal guardians Penny & Grey Ferguson of Arkadelphia; and a host of friends & loved ones. Burial was private at Roselawn Memorial Park in Little Rock, AR. There will be a Service of Celebration of Dan s life on Sunday, May 28, 2006, at 2:00 PM at the Arkadelphia First United Methodist Church under the direction of Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia..
