Dale Smith, 62, of Curtis, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. He was born November 3, 1955 in Arkadelphia, the son of Sam and Melba J Malcom Smith. Dale retired from International Paper and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Curtis. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in his free time. Dale was preceded in death by his father and one nephew, Jeremy McKin.

He is survived by his mother Melba Smith of Curtis, two sons, Chad Smith (Autumn) of Gurdon and Shane Smith (Melissa) of Whelen Springs, four grandchildren, Gavin Smith, Hayden Smith, Harleigh Smith and Blaise Childres, and three sisters, Sharon Mckin (David) of Curtis, Sammie Hutchison of Curtis and Sheila White (Billy) of Arkadelphia.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM until time of service.

Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery .
