Cloveta Pearl Dukes, age 93, of Hot Springs (formerly of Hobbs, NM), passed from this life on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at her home. She was born in Boyds Chapel, TX on July 21, 1921, the daughter of the late Ollie C. and Ada Chesny Estes. Cloveta worked in a meat market and was a member of First Baptist Church in Hobbs, NM. She enjoyed oil and water painting and collecting and repairing dolls. Cloveta was preceded in death by her sister, Ola Faye Burkett Rush and her brother, Delmer Estes. Cloveta is survived by her son, Don (Georgia Mae) Dukes of Hot Springs, three step grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Doc Kinsor officiating. Interment will be in Richwoods Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time on Sunday. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, 1 Children's Way, Little Rock, AR 72202.
