Clifton Pigg, age 82, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, July 3, 2009 at his home. He was born on September 1, 1926 in Vaden, the son of the late Garfield and Georgia Vaden Pigg. Clifton served in the United States Army, was retired from Reynolds Metal Company and was a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by five sisters and one grandchild.

Clifton is survived by his wife, Annie Burks Pigg, two daughters, Clarice Brown of Lansing, MI and Barbara Hawthorne of Arkadelphia, one sister Rannie Ross of Pine Bluff, four grandchildren, Angela and Anthony Graham and Cashelle and Monteco Hawthorne, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 10, 2009 at Welch Funeral Home with Rev. Gary D. Boga Sr. officiating.

Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Smith, Delton Simpson, Edward Johnson, Lee Johnson, Rodney Johnson and L. H. Johnson.
