Clarence Curtis Copeland, age 81, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born June 28, 1940, in Delight, the son of the late Clarence and Gladys Copeland.  Curtis was a retired truck driver with Hines Trucking Company.  He enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, fishing, outdoors, travel and wood working in his free time.  Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Faye Rhinehart, Fern Ray, Sue Copeland and Clara Taylor, four brothers, Bobby, Cecil, Billy and Neal Copeland.

Survivors are his wife, Kathy Lee Copeland of Gurdon, four daughters, Kay Wilson (Danny) of Friendship, Lanna McRae (Rodney) of Mt Gileod, NC, Melissa Donaldson (Shane) of Gurdon, and Christie Chitwood (John David) of Gurdon, one brother, Junior Copeland of Gurdon, eight grandchildren, Brittany Wilson, Danielle Burk, Dustin Rodgers, Alexis Webb, Caitlynne Chitwood  Kagon Morrison, Alyson Stinnett, Jordan Morrison, and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held  at 12 noon Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. David Graves officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Sparkman Cemetery.
