Christene Wofford Burns Bauman, age 81 of Redfield (formerly of Arkadelphia), passed from this life on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Saline Memorial Hospice in Bryant. She was born on October 18, 1930 in Linden, TX, the daughter of the late Marshall Randolph and Solecia Irwin Wofford. Christene worked as a nurses aide and was a member of First Baptist Church in Lewisville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Bauman. Christene is survived by her daughter Dianna Lynn (Mike) Winfree of Redfield, her son David A. (Delores) Burns of Redfield, one brother, Bobby Gene (Barbara) Wofford of Arkadelphia, sister-in-law, JoAnn Wofford of Arkadelphia, two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, with Bro. Greg Lathem officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturday at Welch Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local hospice or Alzheimer's Foundation.
