Charles Earnest Coplen, age 62, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Arkansas Hospice Unit at CHI St. Vincent Medical Center in Hot Springs. He was born December 25, 1953 in El Dorado , the son of the late Wilbur Lee and Mary McCaskill Coplen. Charles was a graduate of Gurdon High School , a United States Marine Corp veteran and a Baptist. he enjoyed Hunting, fishing, camping and most of all walking his dogs. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Phillip Lee Coplen.

Survivors are one brother, Robert Lynn Coplen of Gurdon, five sisters, Cynthia Davidson of Arkadelphia, Barbara Coplen of Hot Springs, Mary Ellen (Jerrell) Barfield of Nashville, Ruthie (Joe) Bridges of Arkadelphia, and Sherry (Kenny) Callison of Donaldson, several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Rose Hill Cemetery at Sycamore with Bro. Travis Langley officiating..

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Clark County, P.O. Box 435 , Arkadelphia AR 71923 .

Pallbearers will be nephews.
