Charles "Charlie" Taylor Burnley, age 56, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. He was born June 9, 1958 in Prescott, the son of the late Homer and Judy Howell Burnley. Charlie was a 1977 graduate of Gurdon High School and enjoyed cooking and fishing. He was a member of Beirne Baptist Church. Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Melinda J. Burnley, one brother, Homer Burnley, Jr. and one sister, Norma Burnley. Survivors are one daughter, Susan (J.D. Smith) Burnley of Gurdon, two sons, Josh Burnley of Gurdon and Joe Burnley of San Angelo, TX, six grandchildren, Lainna, Bryce, Nick, Odalys, Lane and Braxton. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Rose Hill Cemetery at Sycamore with Bro. James McCain officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to DeGray Kidney Foundation, 312 Professional Park Drive, Arkadelphia, AR 71923.
