Brenda Jane Jackson, age 60, of Okolona , passed from this life on Friday, July 14, 2017 at her home.  She was born on December 16, 1956 in Denver City , Texas , the daughter of the late Harlen and Idora Sloan Jackson. Brenda attended Cornerstone Baptist Church . She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her cats. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Tommy Jackson, five sisters, Carolyn Caddell, Connie Baker, Linda Coffee, Cathy Smith, Marilyn Jackson, one son Jim Chambers, one grandson, Jeremy Chambers, and her niece Reita Coffee.

Brenda is survived by her partner Carroll Hughes, two daughters, Misty Carter and her fiancé Jason Sheehan of Sherwood, Tanya Jackson of Rock Springs Wyoming , one brother Joe (Melody) Jackson of Okolona, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Cornerstone Baptist Church , with Bro. Larry Newsom officiating. Interment will be in Prairie Bayou Cemetery .

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Dakota Crews, Jeff Rogers, Darian Groves , John Paul Smith, Jason Sheehan, and Chuck Draper.
