Belva Irene Garvin, age 88 of Arkadelphia, AR, formerly of Duncan, OK, died Friday, July 22, 2005 at her home. She was born October 12, 1916 in Loco, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late John Thomas and Evalina Reid Callaway. She was a housewife and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Duncan, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Garvin, Jr. She is survived by one daughter, Leta Russell and her husband, M. A., of Arkadelphia, AR, two sons, Harold Garvin and his wife, Bonnie of Oklahoma City, OK and Sam Garvin and his wife, Loretta of Ventura, CA, two brothers, Claud Callaway of Spanish Fork, UT and Robert Bob Callaway of Duncan, OK, 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at Duncan City Cemetery in Duncan, OK with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 1:30 PM at Grantham Funeral Chapel in Duncan, OK. Local arrangements are by Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
