Barbara Jean Boice, age 76, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Sunday, October 5, 2008, at her home. She was born on October 3, 1932 in Compton, CA, the daughter of the late Arthur Lynn and Sally Bernice Wilson Delaye. Barbara was a homemaker, a newspaper editor and a dog groomer. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Barbara was a veteran of the United States Army serving as an operating room technician. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Disabled American Veterans and was a motorcycle enthusiast and world traveler. Barbara was preceded in death by a sister, Jacquilin Joyce Dibert.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Charles J. Chuck Boice of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Lyndia Fentress of Charlotte, NC, one son, Rodney Boice of Arkadelphia, five grandchildren, Bobbi Lynn Boice, Joshua Charles Boice, Sara Jean Boice, Jonathan Fentress and Jami Fentress, and four great-grandchildren, Dalton Keith Boice, Mykala Cheyanne Simmons, McKenzie Boice and Cody Fentress.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Welch Funeral Home with Rev. Erby Burgess officiating.
